INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR THE PRE-SELECTION OF CONTRACTOR(S) FOR THE GENERAL RENOVATION OF PREMISES – OGUN STATE

SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria (SOS CV Nigeria) is one of 134 Member Associations working under the umbrella of SOS Children’s Villages International, an international non-governmental social development organization We have been active in Nigeria since 1973, with footprints across the country in: Isolo (Lagos State), Owu-ljebu (Ogun Stale), Jos (Plateau State) Ibadan (Oyo State), Kaduna (Kaduna State) and Gwagwalada, (Federal Capital Territory).

SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria focuses on the child’s development into a self supporting and contributing member of the society. In recognition that a child’s development to his or her full potential is best realized in a caring family environment and acknowledging the role of the child, the family, the community, the state and other service providers in the development of the child.

We work with all these stakeholders to find the most appropriate response to the situation of children at risk of losing parental care and those without parental care.

SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria focuses on programme interventions that are based on the specific situation which are in the best interest of the child. These interventions are developed together with all relevant stakeholders, building on the foundation of existing resources, initiatives and capacities to ensure we respond with relevant interventions, making best use of available resources, to have greater impact on the situation of the children within our target group.

Over the last 22 years now. SOS Children’s Village Owu-ljebu is yet to do a general renovation works to improve the condition of the existing buildings. Some of these buildings will require deep maintenance works: other buildings are in need of adaptation for different use.

Based on the above, SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria is now seeking to PRE-SELECT building contractor (s) for the renovation of its premises in Owu-ljebu and Ijebu-ode,
Ogun State

QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria invites eligible construction firm or contractor with extensive expertise and experience in building (including renovation) project. The following documents must be provided:
– A statement of capability, indicating relevant experience on similar assignments in Nigeria or elsewhere
– Legal registration of the company with the Corporate Affairs Commission and copy of Memorandum and Articles Form CAC07 (i.e Particulars of Board of Directors) and Form CAC02 (i.e Particulars of Shareholders);
– The Company Profile with clear indication of Head Office and Key staff strengths.
– Evidence of similar project(s)/contract(s) handled in the past;
– Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
– Copy of Tax Registration Certificate
– You may also provide any additional document you feel will support your application.

SELECTION OF CONSULTANT FIRM(S):
The contractor(s) will be pre-selected in accordance with our Guidelines. All EoI received will be reviewed based on its relevance, responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness in response to the Eol call. A detailed Terms of Reference will be sent out only to the pre-selected contractors (s).

SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST:
The Eol documents should be submitted as pdf documents by e-mail toconsultancy.services@sos-nigeria.org with CONFIDENTIAL EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (Eol) FOR THE PRE-SELECTION OF CONTRACTOR (S) FOR THE GENERAL RENOVATION OF PREMISES OGUN STATE (EolCVPOGREN2016) in the subject line and should be addressed to THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR, SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES NIGERIA.

All documents must he received no later than by 12:00 midnight (Nigerian Time) on or before the 9th of December 2016.

This call for EOI does not amount to a commitment on SOS Children’s Village Nigeria or its staff either financially or otherwise. SOS Children’s Village Nigeria reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EOI without notice.
